I feel like I haven't 'talk' to you for SO LONG! Anyways, some update from this writer. I am having my convocation next Tuesday (YEAY!) and I accidentally came across with TiffanyD's new make up video, Midnight Blue.

I have not have the chance to do make up since months ago. The only thing I put on my face is baby powder and if I feel extra 'rajin' that day I'll put on some eye-liner and that's it. So for my convocation I do want to look extra special (duh.. it's convo-day. happy day for me of course I want to look pretty :p), I decided to give an attempt to this look :D

Hackensack

I am in LOVE with this song. Err yes, 'Hackensack' is a song originally sang by Fountains of Wayne but I first discovered this song through Katy Perry.

I was looking for a song by Katy but I accidentally downloaded 'Hackensack' instead. I never really thought of listening to it until I rediscovered it a month ago. It is now one of my favourite songs and apparently Katy's too although I prefer Katy's version better. Her voice is more powerful and thus make it very suitable for this type of song.

My Manul just got back from a holiday trip in Langkawi last week and gave me a SUPER EARLY birthday present!

Come on, guess what it is. It's purple and it's in a bottle. It's also in liquid form! I've mentioned this before in a post few months ago ;)

Work!

I've finally gotten a job! :D

Super happy about it since I was dreaming of working during holidays and I can finally slash that out of my 'things to do' list :D

It's not some super swanky job that pays 5 digits but at least I'm making money, right? And since my Mama is ALWAYS telling me to start saving than spending I think I might have a heart in keeping those hard earn cash.

I am currently staying at Shah Alam since my workplace is in Glenmarie. From my place to work takes at least 5 minutes to reach there WITHOUT all the jam. WITH jam, God it can take up to half an hour. This is school holiday mind you so just imagine how uber jam it's going to be once the holiday's are over! 

O.O

For the sake of getting experience I shall not waiver and I'll go through it. Besides the people there are nice and the first week of work started of pretty good, I must say ;)

I'm getting sleepy so I'm going to hit the sack and hello lullaby! xD

Yeay! I've finally gotten my final semester result and I've got 4.0!

Yup! 4 FLAT! :D

Super duper excited and I am really thankful for it! Today I'm fasting. It's for the past Ramadhan, puasa sunat and because of my result :)

Alhamdulillah, I am really, really thankful for it :D

Tomorrow will be the last result I will receive for my final semester examination for diploma. I really wish I could ace both subjects and receive a 4.00 GPA. I know it is a lot to ask for but I know that I did great for the last semester.

Now, I don't want to be overconfident and get my hopes sky high but it's the only thing I want for my diploma certificate. Please pray for me and wish me luck!

By the way, I just watched today's episode of Nora Elena and damn, Aaron Aziz looked extra fineeeee in that baju melayu. Yumms :p

papa john's

My mama and sisters are at Papa John's! I was literally rushing to get home 'cause my mama told me that Atok was looking for me and at that time she was at home. When I get in front of my house and called her to opened the gate she told me "Mama kat Papa John's bawak Kak Noi makan".

Sampai hati meninggalkan daku keseorangan di rumah. So I asked Atok to opened the gate for me hoping that he wouldn't yell at me for coming home late and thank God he didn't. :D

When Mama mentioned about Papa John's I remembered that I had a post about it to share with you!

Last week on Mother's Day, Mama asked my sisters and I to bring her to Papa John's and it was my first time there. So here goes another try at some pizza place. I didn't know what was so special about Papa John's so I gave it a whirl.

We ordered the half-half pizza with half of it being All The Meats and another half is BBQ Chicken. At Papa John's when you order any pizza you will get their special Garlic sauce (they have the name for it but I forgot :p) and that was their secret item that makes you want more!

Mama, my sisters and I got hooked on the sauce that we asked for 2 more!

Special pizza sauce

Jalapeno and a special pizza sauce is also provided when you order their pizza. The pizza sauce however tasted like a Kimball Spaghetti sauce.

Mama ordered Baked Papa's Special. For their pasta you can choose between Penne or Spaghetti. Mama chose spaghetti. Baked Papa's Special has grilled chicken, beef pepperoni, chicken roll, green peppers, onions and baked with a special pizza sauce top with Mozzarella cheese.

It was a different kind of pasta since it was all mixed up and it was definitely yummy!

We had Breadsticks and it was different from the normal bread sticks that you can get at other pizza shop. Inside of the breadsticks was a cheesy flavoured dough and it combined perfectly with the special garlic dipping sauce that came along with it.

Mama and my sisters just got back as I finished typing this. Hopefully they'll bring some food home! :D

I've told you before about the semester 5 assignment that my group and I had to do. A video clip assignment for out Audio and Visual subject. After all the pre-production, production and post-production I am finally allowed to showcase our video :D

Yeay! I have officially FINISHED my DIPLOMA!

After 3 years going back and forth to Melaka, I shall not have to drive long anymore!

:D

I can't believe it's already over. I will definitely miss my friends there and I already have a lunch date with my Rembian girls this Sunday.

I'm going to miss the food over at Melaka. The Asam Pedas, the Klebang Coconut Shake (will review that later), roti naan Pak Putra (drools) and Selera Kampung and lots more!

I will definitely make a day trip just for the food someday :D

But for now I will have my freedom, waking up late and just have nothing to do :D

8th Festival Filem & Video Pelajar Malaysia 2011

Before I head on with the post I would like to apologize for the lack of posts. I've been busy with the upcoming event *winkwink* and other stuff that kept on minggling around like I have no other work.

It's almost a week since I got back form Sintok, Kedah for Festival Filem & Video Pelajar Malaysia. To set the record straight, my group didn't win  but other nominees from my university did win the Best Documentary :D

My group and I consisting of 11 people (only 9 went though) traveled with 2 other groups nominated for the festival from Melaka to Kedah.

Other nominees are 'Waving Flag' and 'Melatah: The Documentary'.

We departed from our campus at 2 30pm and reached Sintok at arnd 12am. Oh mai GOD! It was an uber long journey! Everyone complained the bus was going too slow but when I think back it's good to be safe than to rush. So I just decided to endure the journey.

Thank God we had a couple of stops to empty our tank and fill in our stomach :D

I'm slightly held up with work now so let the pictures do the talking :p

This is Safuan (aka Safwang) our entertainer. His group didn't make it to the finals as something happened but we were glad he came along. He can make you crack a million times without stopping :D

We were at Padang Besar on the second day of our trip. Padang Besar is at the border of Kedah and Thailand. We didn't bring our passport thought :(

Here we ate at the nearby stalls. The Somtam (papaya salad) is super awesome. OMG craving for it now :S

Laksa Kuala Perlis. It tastes typical, and sorry to tell you it doesn't boast anything special. A good try though.

Anyways, I had Nasi Goreng Kampung! :D They didn't have enough ikan bilis though but it was nice and spicy just the way I like it to be :D

At night we head out to Jeti Kuala Perlis. The university did not provide us with any place to eat but thankfully they did provide us with the food.

All of us didn't want to go back to our rooms hence the trip to Kuala Perlis.

The third day the university did not provide us with any breakfast! I am still pissed at that since they were the host, they should be responsible for all things there. 

Our accompanying lecturers decided to bring us out to the 'town'. They had a mall with karaoke and bowling. After our lunch we had an awesome time singing our hearts out before the nerve comes in for the night.

This Is My Future OK!

I am back from Kedah!

It was an interesting trip but the journey was so long (the bus driver made it longer -____-) I feel like sleeping the whole day.

During the journey to Kedah, I got to know one of my friend, Ashman Mahfudz, the Head Project for our event was pranked by the Hitz.fm DJs in the 'Gotcha!' call!

The DJ's used the 'cancellation of the venue' as the reason to kena kan Ash.

Awan Yang Terpilu

I am going away for trip to Kedah! To Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in Sintok to be specific.

:D

I'm only going there because the video clip my group made for last semester's assignment is nominated for 'Best Video Clip' category for the Festival Filem dan Video Pelajar Malaysia (FFVPM). But still, it's just another reason to go away for a trip before my diploma ends :p

I'm so excited since I've never been there and I really don't know what to expect! So I googled the place first.

Can you see how close it is to Thailand?! The first thought that came to my mind was 'The journey would take a freaking day on bus!'

Oh yea, we're going on a UiTM bus since we are representing UiTM and will be staying in the UUM campus.

After realising it's going to be a long journey and the possibility of not having anything to do there since it's way in the 'ulu', I googled car rental companies, ferry rides to Langkawi (Langkawi is quite near to the place I'm going and hopefully we'll get to go there :D) and things to do in Kedah.

I'm such a big freak aren't I?

The journey is about 4 days. We will depart (cheh, bunyi macam naik airplane je :p) Thursday (today) at 2pm and we will head back to Melaka on Sunday (time to be announced).

Now, my suitcase looks like I'm going to a 2-weeks trip! I don't know what to wear there so I just bought anything related to holiday clothes. Though there will be the award night and the theme is 'smart casual' (thank you for giving an easy theme).

I don't know what to wear for that :S

Maybe I'll just shop over there and see what's nice :p

Borrowed Manul's (will tell you about him later) iPod for the trip and charging it :D

Pray I'll be in a safe trip!

Craves

I am currently having my 'crave' phase. I see food on the internet and it makes me remind of some good food. This is bad since I need to get my weigh down a little bit.

:(

Okay, the trash lorry outside my house is destroying the nice smell from the kitchen (eeewwwww).

Anyways, these are the current food that I'm craving for (as of now).

1. Selera Kampung's Ikan Pari Asam Pedas

Oh my gawd! It is seriously the nicest asam pedas in Melaka and I am planning to go there tomorrow. The fish is fresh, the gravy is super nice and it's pedas! But to those who cannot stand the kepedasan, I'm sorry to tell you, you've just had a great lost in tasting the nicest asam pedas in Melaka ( and probably in the whole world).

2. Selera Kampung's Kerabu Mangga (Mango Salad)

This is the most important side dish that I eat with asam pedas. It is a little bit more pedas than other restaurants I've tasted but it's the perfect accompaniment. 

3. Baklava

These baklava were from Bangsar Village II. I can't recall the name of the store but it's next to the chocolate shop. I've found other baklava and the nearest to me and the nicest is the one at Ampang Point. 

An Arabian mak cik there sells dates, fig and raisins and of course these awesome baklavas. It is cheaper (RM 8 for 6 pieces, not too sure) but it is still one of my favourite.

4. Taman Melawati's Nasi Kerabu (at Pasar Tani/ Farmer's Market)

My mom who was the one responsible in introducing me to this wonderful breakfast dish. Yes, I eat this for breakfast. This is the second best nasi kerabu I've tasted so far. The best nasi kerabu is one made by my friend's mom (ohmoigodicouldeatthosenow) :D

I usually eat mine with the daging salai, keropok, telur masin and the vegetables. 

5. Wondermilk's Cupcakes

I cannot tell you enough how I love and adore these cupcakes. Definitely the best cupcake (for me)! I could spend the whole day eating these and craving for more.

Talk about putting in all those fats huh?

Now let me have that piece of steamed moist chocolate cake ;)
