rumah manis rumah

Yeay! I have officially FINISHED my DIPLOMA!

*wootwoot*

After 3 years going back and forth to Melaka, I shall not have to drive long anymore!

:D

I can't believe it's already over. I will definitely miss my friends there and I already have a lunch date with my Rembian girls this Sunday.

I'm going to miss the food over at Melaka. The Asam Pedas, the Klebang Coconut Shake (will review that later), roti naan Pak Putra (drools) and Selera Kampung and lots more!

I will definitely make a day trip just for the food someday :D

But for now I will have my freedom, waking up late and just have nothing to do :D

Peace people!

Hello December

Oh my gosh! It's December already?! O.O

Now time is going REALLY REALLY fast.

It is already the third week of my holiday and boy oh boy I think I have been enjoying too much food *gulps*

But it is soooooo mouth-watering how can I stand it? Look at these foods that welcomes me from my stressful days at university :D

WARNING! You will have a possibility of drooling over the pictures and will probably ask your mom to cook for it too or  you will try to cook it yourself but ended up being burnt and your last resort will be buying from some restaurant!

TEEHEE!

*dontsayididntwarnyou*

Masak Lemak Ketam!

The super soft rice with added soy sauce and the gravy  :D

I opted to have this with a crispy salad and fresh tomatoes with a little bit of tomato sauce (tomato on tomato :p).

The crab was super nice! I literally ate all the gravy on the crab and thank God Mama bought big crabs with lots of meat inside :D

My dinner on the the first day of holiday! :D

*om nom nom nom*

Mama also decided to be extra rajin to try new recipes when I started my holiday. Okay blame Mama too if I gain weight during the holidays -___-

This is one of the recipes she found in the internet. You see, Mama is suddenly fond of going to other people's blog just to find recipes she can try and I swear to you she has been comparing her production of food with my other aunts.

Okay. That what stay at home moms do when they are bored.

This is Brownies Kukus dengan Keju or Steamed Brownies with Cheese :D Inspired by Mama's friend when she brought us some of hers.

Mama's first attempt at the brownie!

The brownie was soft and spongy and the cheese did not taste super creamy (which I love). You can opt to choose creamier cheese but since I am not exactly fond of cheese, Mama decided to make it less cheesy.

Then comes Raya Korban and of course there will be food :D

Mama decided to cook Nasi Briyani with Ayam Briyani and Acar. A simple food for the family and does not take much time.

For the Acar, Mama mixed up vinegar, salt and sugar and we used pineapple, carrot, cucumber, red onions and red chillies for a hint of spiciness :D

Delicious Acar

Ayam Briyani :)

Nasi Briyani
It was really delicious that I had two servings of it for lunch and another serving for dinner! O.O

I am really going to gain weight!

Atok having his Nasi Briyani!
Ps: Would someone tell me why does blogger makes the pictures to turn out in weird sizes if it is not edited or if it's too big it'll just come out big? O.O It's a hassle and I do really like the old version. Easy and it compresses the photo without me having to edit it first.

Ramadhan :)

I just can't believe that it's Ramadhan again. How fast did time fly?

Being able to get back home for Ramadhan is such an amazing feeling. When I reached home yesterday, just when I was about to enter my house I can feel the moment where I know Ramadhan is really here.

This is the first time I'm feeling it and I tell you it's amazing :D

Although I did not exactly welcome Ramadhan since I just had my time-of-the-month along side with my big sister :(

Anyways, for those who are fasting and yes, that includes ALL GUYS Happy Ramadhan! May it be a month of blessings and time to start collecting your deeds :D

Updates

After my last post, I've come to realized that I've been neglecting my bloggy. I hardly post any topic near enough to what is currently happening in my life. To make this up, I shall share you what I've been up to these past few weeks! :D

Let's start with how I am now a semester 5 Masscomm student! Yeay! I always have a thought on how it was going to be a long winding road finishing my diploma years but in the end time comes by fast and suddenly I'm in my final year.

All those sleepless night, rushing in to send in all the assignments before the dateline, the journey back home and of course, the issue on staying outside. Let me clear that issue if you may let me do so.

I have settled in a semi-D house about 10 minutes from my campus. It's a nice neighbourbood and with other 7 housemates it's a fun house :)

The only trouble is I do not have my own transportation and I have been bugging my house mates by asking them to send me to class and picking me up after class ends. This has caused a tiny, wee bit, itsy bitsy problem and I hope to find a solution soon (ahemahemmeansacarformeahemahem). Okay, no. It's not a tiny bit of a problem. It's huge but I'm waiting for some miracle and yes, that involves buying a car :P

For those who are interested in what subject I am taking this semester I am going to spill it now. All in all I have 6 subjects that I'm taking this semester and all of them are pretty hard. I'll make a list for you rather than type it in a sentence so you little stalkers won't have a hard time to list them down and paste it on your wall just to see in which class I'll be in.

BRO 331 Audio and Video Production
COM 361 Introduction to Communication Research
COM 362 Principles of Marketing
ETR 300 Fundementals of Entrepreneurship
PRO 321 Event Management in Communication
PUB 351 Multimedia Design and Production

There are only two new lecturers that I'll be seeing (PUB 351 and PRO 321) as they have not taught me, like ever, during my days as a Masscomm student. Out of all subjects, I dreaded COM 361 or Comm Research as I always say it.

Why so? Well, it's because the class is all about how to make the perfect research in which I'm not exactly keen on learning it. Plus the subject itself is quite dry. No matter how you want to make it interesting, it just bores me to death or to sleep. That's more like it :P

Anyways, lets move on to food! :D

Yes, yes I know you prefer to see all the pictures of food but I'm going to limit it this time. I will have another post on the latest dining places I've been to :)

Ps: I was having steamboat with my family to thank Allah because Atok's surgery went well. He's fully recovered now :)

Well, I'm not officially home yet but I will be today (again, it's after 12 am so it's considered Sunday already :P)!!

I know I should focus on my Advert paper but then home is calling me! My mom called me and asked what time she should be here :P

Me love mommy :D

Anyways, back to that crappy Advert notes that I spent three days working on :S

Wish me luck :)

:)

I'm home...for now.

I should be studying for my final test this Saturday (oh yeah, you read that right, it's on SATURDAY! why do they even think people would want to have tests on saturday? :S) but I just don't have the mood just yet.

:P

I have photocopied the notes that I don't have but today was tiring.

I was with my mom to pay her summon at Bukit Aman but then something went wrong which I don't know what it's about. Then stopped by Jusco Wangsa Maju for some Spaghetti Meatball at Secret Recipe and head home.

It wasn't that tiring if you read it but I just feel tired.

Probably the lack of sleep I've gotten these past couple of weeks :/

Anyways, I've been listening to John Legend's Everybody Knows and it's awesome!!! Listen to it if you haven't :D

Annnddddd, Adam Lambert was on American Idol last night! He looked super hot!! Why do hot men must be gay??

T.T

Can't wait to see him performing on the result show (if he does lah)!!!

:D

what is this feeling?

These past few days has been weird for me.

Emotionally I mean.

I don't seem to have the mood to eat but whenever I eat I can feel that my stomach is actually empty and dying for food to be curned inside.

Weird.

Then comes the butterflies. I have not had these kinds of butterflies for a LONG time. Seriously. It's the type of butterflies you feel in your stomach when you're nervous. This is not like the nervous you feel when you're about to talk in front of thousands of people but the ones that you feel when....

Urgh, can't describe it.

:(

Another one is when I would caught myself smiling whenever I think of something. Like it made me really happy that I want to remember it. Lol.. I am actually smiling now thinking of it.

:D

Anyways, if you ever felt this way can you tell me what are the odds of behaving like this? Would really appreciate it. :)

Ps: I'm at Shah Alam now. Going home with my sister tomorrow! Yeay! But with assignments int he baggage.. No yeay for that :(

Mom + Dad = Child

My family and I welcome our newest addition to our not so ramai family members (memang sangat tak banyak sampai boleh dikira menggunakan sebelah tangan).

A baby GIRL!!

Now I just want to say that my family has more girls than guys. Wherever we go there will always be loads of girls with A guy.

But nonetheless our gang of girl power has become stronger!

:D

Hehe

The picture above is my uncle and aunt but they look young though.. :P

And by looking the pictures you know that I'm home this weekend :)

I went out with my mom and little sister and got this!

An eyeliner from MAC as mine last eyeliner is at its end point and the book I've always wanted to read from my favourite author!

:D

Now I can go back to Malacca in peace, well, not really :P

rides back to home

As you would probably have guessed, I am home this weekend!

:D

*jumps for joy*

I am very happy and glad to be back home but I would like to share to you of what I have encountered during the journey from Malacca to KL last Friday.

As usual my roommate and I would pack up after our 2 30pm class. We would walk to the bus stop in front of the campus. During the walk, I saw the sky was turning dark. My guess as it was going to rain later but when we almost arrived at the bus stop the sky squeezed as hard as it can to pour all the water inside them and left us wet.

We were really wet!

Literally WET.

I was wearing my sandals and it got slippery in between my feet and the sandals which then forced me to walk slower. The best part was when we arrived at the bus stop the rain suddenly stopped.

Wow....

What a great time to rain eh?

Don't you have another time to rain? Can't you squeeze out those sponge-y clouds of your AFTER I get to the bus stop?

All is well after that. We rode the bus. A fast bus. A really fast bus because when I was half-asleep I can see the bus I'm riding is rapidly 'potong-ing' other vehicles.

But I made it safely to Pudu Raya Station. From Pudu we had to walk through Petaling Street to get to the Pasar Seni LRT station.

I am used to walking at Petaling Street that I can remember what type of item they sold there or even the smell of the place.

But that day it was an exception. I literally had smell God-knows-the-smelliest-stink ever which smelt really like a guy's body odour after they finish playing sports.

Eww..

It was so yucky that I walked really fast. Like really, really fast.

We were at the LRT station and parted ways. I was going for the Wangsa Maju station and my roommates head to KL Sentral.

I am also use to riding trains. Be it really empty or as packed as a sardine can. I had seen plenty of people's attitude and what not. I stepped into the train in hope of riding it feeling safe and cooled down but na'ah.

In front of me was this Chinese guy. He was shaking his head for God knows what. I thought he was just some normal guy who wants to release some stress but with some horrible body odour.

Once again I was wrong. When we reached to Dang Wangi's station the Chinese guys suddenly said to the guy behind him 'Go to hell you devil!!'

0.o

Oh wow!

Then he murmurs something unrecognizable which made the people around him including me to step back a couple of footsteps. Seriously, he made everyone there scared.

I kept on imagining he would suddenly be some psycho lunatic or something. Thank God on the next station he went down.

I can feel that everyone is relieved and I made it safely to Wangsa Maju and head back home with my mom.

Have you encountered any weird experiences on train? Any train. Do let me know :)

When I'm bored

I was bored to death being stuck in Lendu on weekends for the first time. I could not sleep well and kept on waking up every hour or so.

The only thing that is available for me to connect with the world is through my broadband which has its highest at odd hours a.k.a the time people actually are sleeping a.k.a between 2am until 8am.

I tried to google interesting stuff that pops up in my head by nothing came except make up, make up and more make up.

So, I googled Benefit and a lighting struck at my head thinking about how I could buy this or that now.

Here are the things that I will most probably use the most and I might actually think of buying some for myself.

Benefit posie tint

I tried this twice at the Benefit counter. It gave me a really natural blush look! Put three dots on the apple of your cheeks, pat it and in an instant you'll have a really natural blushed look.

Do take note that it dries up really quick so do it on one cheek first then move on to the other.

I really love this thing and with its price tag of RM 145 (if I'm not mistaken) it's affordable considering the amount of the liquid that comes with it and the amount of what you'll be using.

Not to forget it is also a lip stain meaning you can use it on your lips too! I have never tried it on my lips but I can see it'll give you a lovely pink-ish lips! :D

I also found out on their website that they have the mini version of posie tint. I'm not sure if they have it here in Malaysia but I'll try to find out once I'm back in KL.

Benefit Celebutante Kit

Benefit makes a lot of palettes such as big beautiful eyes palette, brows a go-go, smokin' eyes and others.

Last christmas they put out another palette and which had me goin gaga over it. :P

It's the Celebutante Kit people! In it contained a Dallas face/bronzer powder, two velvet eye shadows in leggy and dandy brandy, benetint the lip and cheek stain, high beam, lip gloss in I'm with the band, two full-finish lipsticks in lady's choice and no competition, interconnecting brushes which has the talent brush and the fluff shadow brush and a face powder brush.

That's a lot for a kit which costs only RM 145!

It's good for traveling and definitely a great buy! The only thing I did not like about it is it has benetint. I wish I could change it to posie tint since I look better with it. Nevertheless it's a great kit! :D

Benefit high beam
I have never tried this but I've seen some videos on Youtube showing people applying it and it does really gives a natural glow on the face. One thing I'm scared of is its colour. It has a pink based colour which for people with red-undertones like me will probabl look more red if I ever apply it on my face.

Hence, comes the moon beam down here.

Benefit moon beam

moon beam is probably more suitable for people with red-undertoned skin as it has yellow-ish tones in it. It will neautralize the redness and therefore will create more natural glow! Well, that is what I imagine it to be but I don't know so I will try to test it once again when I'm in KL.

Benefit powderflage

This product has been used so many times in my favourite makeup artist Tiffany D's video! I've been wanting to get my hands on it but living in Malacca has been keeping my pocket a hole. I will defitnitely try this one! It's a lose powder concealer but people mostly use it for the undereye.

I'm not sure of the price but it is probably around RM 90 - RM 1 45. Will update about the price.

Benefit eye bright
This one too has been featured in Tiffany D's video. It does brighten up the eye area and you can use it on your nose bridge, undereye area and under your brow.

It is easy to blend out and a definite must in every make up kit!

Benefit BADgal mascara in black, brown, blue and plum.
Black

Brown

Blue

Plum

I've tried the BADgal lash mascara in black and wow! I look like I have fake lashes on! Lol! It really made my eyes look bigger and brighter! :D

Me likey! It is sligthly cheaper than Dior Iconic Mascara with a price tag of RM95.

Benefit BADgal waterproof mascara.I did not try this but it should have the same formula as the normal mascara except a plus of waterproof in it.

Benefit f.y...eye!
Bad news for you and you make up addicts would most probably heard the news. It was been discontinued! I know a girl who's really upset about it.

By the way she was looking upset, I bet it's a really amazing eye primer. When I watched the video, I was really shocked! Benefit has been discontinuing a lot of their products lately. I mean other brands do to but not as often as Benefit do.

I'm currently using Elianto's eye primer and it's not good. It could not last my eye make up long enough. I wanted to try Benefit's but since they discontinue it, I will have to wait for it to come back. Hopefully they will not change the formula that much.

Wow! That was a lenghty post! Hehe..

That proves how bored I am in Malacca.

Missing Out! :(

I miss HOME!

Just because of this one event I CAN'T GO HOME!

Hate it!

Alright, this "event" is just some block annual grand meeting. I personally don't think it's even grand. They are just doing it at some parking block. Oh wow! A parking block? A PARKING BLOCK? (!!!!)

It's going to get me looking all shitty and sweaty and not to mention if I ever feel like wearing make up on I'll definitely will end up like I have a slippery make up look due to the humid and hot condition.

Urgh!

And the worst part is I have to pay RM 50! They said they're going to put umbrella, shirt and what not. I really, really don't need all that junk.

Oh wait! That's not the worst part. THE worst part is I can't go to my grandma's tahlil. It's some event where we recite prayers for the those who passed away. It's being held on tomorrow which is on the same day, same time but different places. How I wish I could be at two places at a time.

My mom told me a couple hundred of people are going to come and those people are my relatives. Someone, please get me out of here.

I really, really want to go back home.

Sigh

I'm awfully mad (or what you call upset) just because I just had my time of the month too.

Well, I better rant it out rather than keeping it inside.

thank you for reminding me

Sigh..

I've just cried.

But it's for a good one.

I read a post by proudduck and she wrote a lovely article about grandparents.

I really miss my grandparents (even though I've just seen them few days ago hehe).

They are just the best after Mama.

It brought me to reminisce the good old days.

I remember how my grandpa used to chase me around the house just to fetch me and take me to kindergarten (it has a history of its own hehe).

My grandma would always buy me things that I really want (but I don't even use it!).

Silly, silly Izzah.

Why do you have to make your grandparents buy so many things for you and do ridiculous things for you when in fact they are really old and they don't really have all the energy to play with you?

Sigh..

Atok has been saving up for my education since I was born. When I was younger, Atok showed me a book with numbers. I really did not know what it was. All I know is that the number correspond to money.

But I was so little that I couldn't understand the value of money how hard it is to get.

Sigh..

I really want to hug them really tight (not until they choke of course :P) when I see them this Wednesday.

:D

I miss you Nenek and Atok.

Don't worry, I've had my sahur just now.

See you at home!

:D

Love, your second granddaughter.

now now for the good news

Well, there's really none except that I'm thinking of going home since EVERYBODY here is.

One of my roommates still hasn't gotten her butt here.

One of my roommates had just bought a ticket to go home this Thursday.

One of my roommates is going back in a couple of hours.

Which makes me ALONE in the room!

I DON'T WANT TO BE ALONE IN THE ROOM!

It's scary!

Plus with the H1N1 going around in the campus it is DEFINITELY BETTER to stay at home.

Sigh..

I really can't think of anything else than the influenza. Oh yea, assignments too.

Hehe

Anyway, 7 students in UiTM is positive with H1N1 and 60 are suspected.

I think UiTM is waiting for someone to die first then they'll let the students to go home. By that time, there'll be LOADS of student already infected with that bloody virus.

Clever, clever.

Ps: I'm going home this Friday :D
