walk for lights : help the blind

My friend, Syaza and her team of Public Relations students from UiTM are organising an event to benefit the blind. Walk for Lights are organised to raise funds to help buy braille al-Quran for the Persatuan Orang- Orang Cacat Penglihatan Islam Malaysia (PERTIS).

Walk for Lights will be held at Dataran Kemerdekaan, Shah Alam this Friday, 30th November 2012. Registration will start form 6 30pm and the walk will start at around 8pm. The walk will only be 2km. Each registration is only RM20 and all proceeds will go to the PERTIS fund.

One special element that attracted me to this event is that the first 80 participants to register on the event date will get to walk with the blinds while also being blindfolded! Isn't this interesting? I mean you get to feel how the blind go through their daily lives! 

I will be there to support the event and also to add on my charity works :D Come and join me okay guys? :D Pssstt.. I heard there's lucky draw and special performances too! Oh not to forget Goodie bags and a special T-shirt for you too!
