Izzah Khalil: syaza's birthday

An over-due post. I should have post this awhile back :S

Last 2 weeks, Anis, Arif and I made a semi-surprise birthday dinner for our beloved BFF (and girlfriend for Arif :p). Since her birthday falls on Friday, we decided to take her on Thursday for an early birthday dinner.

Arif asked Anis and I for suggestion on where to go and we decided to go Journal by Plan B at Publika. It was our first time there so we were a bit jakun with the setting there.

Moi, before hand had already Googled the place out and sort of expected what the place would be like. I even searched for the menu! :p Yes, I am a very curious person (I partly blame it on Journalism).

The night turned out to be so fun! We took LOADS of pictures, enjoyed our meal and I absolutely LOVE the reaction that Syaza did when she saw a birthday cake coming to her and when she opens Anis' present for her.

Anis gave her a homemade frame with all of their pictures through out their 5 years of friendship. Syaza was all teared up when she saw it. Both Anis and I couldn't help but to tear a little bit too. It was so emotional as memories run through their heads.

I could imagine that I would be like Syaza if I were given these kinds of present. Homemade (or is it handmade?) are always, always the best kind of present anyone could give.

5 years of friendship. I love all these :')

On the other hand, since I knew Syaza only last year, I didn't know what to give her :/ I'm always bad at picking out gifts or presents for people. I finally decided to buy her a mini Lola cake and the petite cupcakes from +Wondermilk (they are the best!).

The chocolate cake was yummy! It was rich and full with just chocolate and chocolate cream. Urgh, now I feel like having a bite :|

The cake was so rich and thick that it got stuck to our teeth! Hence, the gigi gongak picture starts :D Once it's in your mouth, it will slowly melt. It took me like 4 bites to have it stick on my teeth!

Arif's present was the best among all. He treated ALL of us! Anis and I honestly thought that we were going to pay for our portion but Arif insisted that we don't. He didn't even let us take a peek at the bill! :O Thank you so much Arepcine :D You will always be remembered by your kindness. Next time can belanja lagi la :p

All in all, it was a great night! To me, birthdays are more fun when you celebrate it together with your friends or family or both rather than just with your partner. They would always surprise you with something. Love you guys! XOXO
